Missouri's Largest Arts Festival

The
southwest corner of the festival is family central, filled with hands on
art activities for teenagers to toddlers. Bigger and better than every before
many of
your favorite activities are back along with several new
features. We're still adding activities so check back
often to discover the what is happening at the festival.
Musical
Petting Zoo
The
St. Joseph Symphony is proud to offer a Musical Petting Zoo at Trails West!®
Children will be immersed in getting to actually hold
and play instruments that make up a symphony. In
addition, they will be able to view an award winning
video about the Petting Zoo, and receive a free coloring
book.
Hours
Friday: 5:00 - 7:00
Saturday: 12:00 - 4:00
Sunday: 1:00 - 5:00
Children's
Art Tent
In
the Children's Art Tents, young artist can try their hands at
a number of arts projects. This year youngsters will have the
opportunity to make Gods Eyes, Talking Sticks, Pet Rocks and
Sun Visors. These make it take it projects are offered free of
charge. Staffed by the St. Joseph Girl Scouts, the
Children's Activity Tent is always a favorite for children and
parents alike. Children also have the opportunity to have
their faces painted for a small fee.

Percussion
Playground
Bang
the drum or the pot in this case at the percussion
playground. Located on the south side of Felix,
next to the Musical Petting Zoo, children can bang
on pots and pans to create their own musical
sound.
Family
Stage
The
Family Stage provides a number of performances geared just for
kids....and sometimes performed by kids! Magic, juggling,
melodrama, and music- children of all ages will be amused. For

Roving
Performers
Our
roving performers share up-close and personal
moments with every kid they meet along the way. So
get out there and dive right in!
