Missouri's Largest Arts Festival

The
southwest corner of the festival is family central, filled with hands on
art activities for your children. 2009 was bigger and better than ever before
with many of
your favorite activities along with with several new
features. The children had a creative experience using heir
imagination to create their own “trash art” from a
collection of items.
Home Depot
gave a craft workshop on Saturday giving families the
opportunity to complete a variety of projects that
compliment boys and girls unique interests.

Trail-a-Palooza
New in 2009 was
Trail-a-Palooza, “hang-out tent” for teenagers
with Guitar Hero and Dance Dance
Revolution as well as a lounge area just for meeting
up with old and new friends.
Musical
Petting Zoo
The
St. Joseph Symphony presented the Musical Petting Zoo.
Children got to actually hold
and play instruments that make up a symphony.
Children's
Art Tent
In
the Children's Art Tents, young artist can try their hands at
a number of arts projects. The make it take it projects are offered free of
charge. The
Children's Activity Tent is always a favorite for children and
parents alike. Children also have the opportunity to have
their faces painted for a small fee.

Percussion
Playground
Bang
the drum or the pot in this case at the percussion
playground. Located on the south side of Felix,
next to the Musical Petting Zoo, children can bang
on pots and pans to create their own musical
sound.
Family
Stage
The
Family Stage provides a number of performances geared just for
kids....and sometimes performed by kids! Magic, juggling,
melodrama, and music- children of all ages will be amused. For

Roving
Performers
Our
roving performers share up-close and personal
moments with every kid they meet along the way. So
get out there and dive right in!
