Art
for Business’ Sake, a program of the Allied Arts
Council, presents visual art exhibits in a business
setting and offers talented local artists the
opportunity to publicly display their work.
The
Allied Arts Council and M&I Bank cosponsored the 2007 Art for Business’ Sake Exhibit
in November of 2007. The show and opening
reception hosted by M& I Bank, 4305
Frederick, St. Joseph, MO honored artists placing first
in the Art for the Health of It competitions for the
last two years.
Honored Artists included Robert Ball, Linda Barker, Ryan
Barker, Jim Fly, Dave Garrison, Jerome Hernandez, Kenny
Horn, Evelyn Jordan-Isaacs, Marcia Lardizabal, Wanda
Taylor.
The artists whose works are displayed in the recent
shows have won at least one first place in the Allied
Arts Council’s last four Art
for the Health of It competitions. In that
semi-annual competition, qualified regional jurors
critique entries in oil/acrylic, photography,
watercolor, other media and high school student art
categories. Art for the Health of It entries are
exhibited at Heartland Health East and West for several
months each spring and fall.
