STAGE AND AUDITORIUM Missouri Theater built as a movie theater in 1927 Last renovation inside and out - 2002 Natural acoustics of the auditorium are rated good Auditorium seats 1,200 Main floor seating plus three tiered balcony Vending fee - 20% payable night of performance to the City TYPE OF STAGE Stage type - proscenium with 8 foot thrust Stage has one trap - upstage right - 3’6"X8' Stage has no footlights Crossover is located down stairs stage right and left through green room - it is free of obstructions Orchestra pit is covered with an 8' thrust which is not on a lift House curtain is a red hand operated traveler, which takes 10 seconds to open Masonite covered floor DRAPERIES AND SOFT GOODS Draperies - 5 pair of black & 1 pair of red - 3 borders - no backdrops & 1 white drape - all pleated Legs are 30' long and 8' wide - fullness is 9" Borders are 50' wide and 10' tall - fullness is 9" Travelers are 26' X 30' white drape - fullness is 9" Drapes are not dead hung and can be moved except for the traveler White cyclorama 40’ wide X 20’ long There isn’t a scrim There is an asbestos fire curtain or firewall - props can not be placed beneath it The doors in the stage walls measure 6'10" wide X 6'10" high - these lead to dressing rooms and loading door Movie Screen (49' x 19'5") STAGE DIMENSIONS Proscenium is 41' 10 ½" wide X 50" high With Valance and speaker cluster 21’ High Plaster line to back wall measures 28' Offstage (proscenium to side walls) - Right 7'7" - Left 13' Plaster line to edge of stage (apron or thrust) - 10'7" Plaster line to center line of thrust - 20' 11 1/4" Stage left offstage wall to center line to counterweight rail 33' 4 ½" Stage right offstage wall to center line - 28' 9 ½" Edge of stage to back wall 31' - stage floor to grid - 64' Stage floor to fly gallery - 55' Stage floor to bottom of borders (normal trim) 20' Bottom of borders to grid (normal trim) - 44' Number of sets of lines - 45 Electrical battens - 4 Pinrail - stage left - counterweight Distance of last line to upstage wall - 2' Distance of last lineset to plaster line - 3' Orchestra Pit - 40' wide x 8' deep at center tapering at sides - 18" below house floor. Positions for 4 instruments on loge rail approximately 25' to edge of thrust or 34' to proscenium. There are 4 circuits on each side position – 3 circuits in the loge rail. There is no loading dock but the landing t can accommodate one 40' truck with a vertical clearance of 13'8" Vehicle access to the loading area is down an alleyway between two buildings - ½ block from Edmond Street There is no elevator or doors between the loading area and the stage There are no obstructions between the loading area and the stage Vehicles may not be parked at the loading area - city permits will be obtained and information on parking locations will be given upon arrival Ladders are available - one - 20' and one - 12' There is no equipment storage space on or near the stage The stage will only be available the day before the performance if prior notice is given and rental is agreed upon WARDROBE AND DRESSING ROOMS There are 7 principal dressing rooms and 1 chorus/green room located stage right and under stage - restrooms are located in the dressing room areas Dressing rooms are equipped with mirrors, tables, sinks, 2 with showers, toilets, hot and cold running water and wardrobe racks Dressing rooms are not on stage level - accessible by stairs Make-up stations vary per room from 2 to 15 - all make-up tables and mirrors are built into each room Clothes racks are built in Companies have exclusive use of the dressing rooms during the engagement and dressing rooms can be secured Dressing rooms that are too far from the stage (quick changes) can be made using curtains arranged backstage Chorus Room/Green Room area is 50'x20'. It can be used for dressing rooms, or green room and is located under the stage with one dressing room adjacent. 1 toilet, 4 outlets, 15' lighted mirror, 2 sinks and 10' clothes rack. Access to dressing rooms and chorus room is off stage right. 2 chorus room doors open into orchestra pit.
